Opaque Smart Glass installed switchable PDLC smart film on glass conference room walls, doors, and office partitions at a modern commercial office in New York City. The project provides on-demand privacy while preserving the open, contemporary appearance of the glass-walled workspace.
With the smart film powered on, the glass remains transparent, allowing natural light and visual connectivity throughout the office. At the touch of a button, the film switches to an opaque state, creating privacy for meetings, presentations, confidential conversations, and focused work.
Because the smart film was applied directly to the existing glass, the office gained switchable privacy without replacing the architectural glass or adding blinds, curtains, or permanent frosted treatments. The finished installation integrates cleanly with the doors and glass partition system while giving occupants complete control over when privacy is needed.
The project demonstrates how smart film can transform existing office glass into a flexible privacy solution while maintaining the modern aesthetic that makes glass-partitioned workplaces so appealing.
