Opaque Smart Glass completed a smart glass installation at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, transforming an interior glass office space with instant, switchable privacy.
The installed smart glass changes from clear to opaque at the flip of a switch, allowing the space to remain open and visually connected when privacy isn’t needed. When switched to opaque, the glass provides immediate visual separation without blinds, curtains, or other traditional window coverings.
This type of installation is particularly well suited for offices, conference rooms, meeting spaces, and other professional environments where maintaining natural light and a clean architectural appearance is important.
Project Details
For this Philadelphia project, smart glass was incorporated into the interior glass partitions surrounding the workspace. The result preserves the modern appearance of the glass while giving occupants the ability to control privacy instantly.
When powered on, the glass remains transparent and maintains an open feel throughout the space. When switched off, the glass becomes opaque, creating privacy on demand.
Opaque Smart Glass provides professional smart glass and smart film installation for commercial offices, educational facilities, healthcare environments, residences, and other architectural applications nationwide.
