Opaque Smart Glass installed switchable PDLC smart film across multiple interior glass walls in this New Jersey office, giving the workspace instant privacy while preserving the modern, open-glass design.
The existing glass partitions separate private office and work areas from the surrounding space. With the smart film switched on, the glass becomes transparent, maintaining visibility and an open atmosphere throughout the office. When privacy is needed, the film switches to an opaque state, visually separating the spaces without blinds, curtains, or permanent frosted glass.
One of the strengths of this project is the amount of glass incorporated into the office design. Rather than sacrificing that architectural feature to create private workspaces, the smart film allows the glass itself to become an adaptable privacy solution. Employees can transition between open and private environments in seconds.
Because PDLC smart film can be professionally applied directly to existing glass, it is particularly well suited for office renovations and upgrades where replacing an existing glass partition system would be disruptive or unnecessary. This New Jersey installation demonstrates how switchable film can transform an established glass office environment while maintaining its original design.
