Switchable Smart Film for a Luxury Hamptons Residence
Opaque Smart Glass installed PDLC smart film on a floor-to-ceiling glass partition enclosing a modern residential entertainment lounge in the Hamptons, New York.
The expansive glass walls and doors provide an unobstructed view of the lounge, featuring a pool table and contemporary interior finishes. With the flip of a switch, the smart film transforms from clear to frosted, creating instant privacy while preserving the home’s clean architectural design.
This installation demonstrates how switchable smart film can provide flexible privacy for residential entertainment areas without the need for blinds, curtains, or permanent frosted glass.

Modern Privacy Without Compromising Design
Large interior glass partitions are increasingly popular in luxury residential architecture, but maintaining privacy can be challenging. PDLC smart film provides an elegant solution by allowing existing glass to switch between clear and frosted states electronically.
This Hamptons installation combines modern design with practical functionality, creating a versatile entertainment space that can be enjoyed openly or privately as needed.
